Aaron Singer Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

• The teacher must be eligible to receive the gift in compliance with state ethics.
• The teacher MUST be nominated by one or all of the following groups: parent(s) of students from that school, a fellow teacher or administrator at the school, or a group of students from the school.
• The teacher may not be nominated by family members, friends, or outside community organizations.
• The group must be able to complete the following application and submit it in its entirety by August 1, 2017. No late applications will be accepted under any circumstances.
• The winning teacher will be selected by September 15, 2017 after a thorough review of all applications by the committee.
• The teacher and school must be available for a check presentation in the fall of 2017.
• The recipient MUST spend the money on classroom supplies including instruments, basic office/classroom supplies, books, technology, or software to enhance the learning experience for his/her students.
• The selected teacher may use the funding from the scholarship to bring his/her classroom or school on an arts related field trip; to compensate for in-school performance(s) or an arts residency program; or to participate in other cultural/arts experience that his/her classroom or school would benefit from.
